PLUTUS

Your Plutus account,
in Claude.

Read your strategy, holdings, balances and investment history in a conversation. The Plutus connector provides nine read-only tools.

Setup guide · Updated 30 September 2026

Connect your account

You need a Plutus account with the relevant investor access and completed account setup. Brokerage information requires a linked, supported brokerage account and available records. Product information depends on your account permissions and subscriptions. Claude must support custom connectors on your account.

  1. Open Claude's connector settings. Add a custom connector named Plutus.
  2. Use this server URL:https://api.runplutus.com/v3/mcp
  3. Select Connect. Sign in on the Plutus page, review the requested permissions, and approve if you want to continue.
  4. Return to Claude and enable Plutus for your conversation if prompted. Try a question from the examples below.

During authorization, investor:read allows the supported investment reads. offline_access allows the connection to refresh its credentials so you do not need to sign in for each question. You do not need to supply an API key.

Connecting another Plutus account? A retained Plutus sign-in session can skip the login page. Start the connection in a fresh browser profile or private window, sign in to Claude there, then sign in with the intended Plutus account. Signing out of the Plutus website alone may leave the separate connector sign-in session active.

What you can read

ToolInformation available
get_my_strategyYour configured products and strategy allocations.
get_my_positionsStored stock and option holdings, quantities, valuations and exposure.
get_my_accountAccount value, cash balance, gross position value and buying power.
get_my_strategy_factorsPaginated strategy-model performance factors.
get_my_actual_performanceYour stored daily account performance history.
get_my_tradesStored executions and fill details.
get_my_ordersStored orders and their recorded statuses.
search_productsPlutus baskets, portfolios and managed strategies visible to your account.
get_benchmark_factorsHistory for the supported SPX, NDX, SPY, QQQ and IWM benchmarks.

The connector cannot place or cancel orders, transfer assets, change allocations, or edit your strategy. Some account and position reads may refresh Plutus's stored brokerage snapshots.

Try these prompts

Summarize my configured strategy and current holdings. Explain the difference and include the snapshot timestamps.
What are my cash balance, account value and buying power? Keep the account currency and any missing-data warnings.
Show my five most recent trades and five most recently updated orders. Include recorded statuses and timestamps.
Compare my strategy-model performance with SPY over the most recent complete week for which both have data. Retrieve the necessary pages and align the periods.
Show five Plutus products I can access, including any restrictions on their details.

Understand the results

Claude generates the explanation of the returned information and can make mistakes. Review the underlying records before making financial decisions.

Troubleshooting

The connection opens the wrong account

Use the fresh-browser procedure above. Disconnecting in Claude and signing out of the Plutus website are separate actions from clearing the Plutus OAuth browser session.

Access or setup error

Check your account setup and investor access in Plutus. Brokerage reads also require a linked supported account. Reconnect if Claude reports that your authorization expired or lacks the requested permission.

Stale data or a temporary brokerage failure

Retry later and keep any freshness warning visible. If no usable stored snapshot exists, a tool may return an error. Do not interpret that as a zero balance or an empty portfolio.

Still need help?

Contact hello@runplutus.com with the tool name, approximate time and a redacted error message. Never send passwords, access tokens or refresh tokens.

Disconnect from Claude

Open Claude's connector settings, select Plutus and choose Disconnect. You can stop using the connector there without visiting the Plutus website.

Disconnecting the host connection is different from confirmed revocation of the credential stored by Plutus. Immediate server-side invalidation on Claude disconnect has not been established for this integration. Contact Plutus support if you need access invalidated. Signing out of the Plutus website alone does not revoke an MCP connection.

Privacy and permissions

Claude sends authenticated tool requests to Plutus. Plutus returns the account-authorized investment and product information needed by those tools. This makes the returned information available to Claude under your use of that service. The connector does not request your whole conversation history, memory or uploaded files.

See the Plutus privacy policy for Plutus's data practices and contact information. Only connect an account whose information you intend to make available to Claude.
